OUR PURPOSE

To be a Community of believers building people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, living a W.O.R.D. centered life.

OUR FAITH

WE BELIEVE:

• That the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
• In one God revealed in three Persons, namely, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
• That Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at God’s right hand praying on our behalf.
• That all people have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God and is necessary for forgiveness of sin.
• That salvation is received by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
• In being made holy through faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.
• That God expects all believers to live a life of holiness.
• In being empowered by and filled with the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart.
• In exercising spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ.
• In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
• That divine healing is provided for all through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.
• In observing the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saint’s feet.
• In the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

OUR EXPRESSION OF WORSHIP

The Bible gives us several guidelines on how we can express our worship to God. We call these expressions of worship because they are supposed to be an outward manifestation of our love and gratitude for God. God wants us to love Him from the heart but He also directs us in how we are to show our worship unto Him.

We lift our hands
Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands  toward your Most Holy Place. (Psalm 28:2)

We clap our hands
Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. (Psalm 47:1)

We sing songs of worship
Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.  (Psalm 47:6-7)

We praise God with musical instruments
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. (Psalm 150:3-5)

We praise God with dancing
Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.  (Psalm 149:3)
