LifeGroup in Focus: North York

The North York  Life group meets every Friday Evening. From about 4 or 5 members  last year, they have steadily grown with the addition of several members. More importantly they are excited about how they have experienced spiritual growth through their sharing and study. Sis Edith leads our North York LG.

There are more than 600 kids from Barangay Rizal, Makati City who attends the Sidewalk Sunday School. And we were able to treat each one of them to a different kind of Christmas on December 5, 2009. It was a celebration of selfless giving and sharing among people inspired by the love of Jesus Christ – and you have been an important part of it.

Your generous support went a long way in showing God’s love to these children. By opening your hearts and extending your compassion to these children,these kids didn’t just go home with gift bags filled with Christmas goodies and toys. They went home with hearts full of  love, joy, and hope knowing that somebody cared enough to remember them.

Please accept our most sincere appreciation and our deepest gratitude for your commitment to this cause. May the Lord bless you continually as you bless more people.

Ministry Focus: Prayer Ministry

The Prayer Ministry intercedes for our church and prays for the various needs of our congregation. They meet every after the North York Service. If you would like to join our prayer ministry, please contact Bro Jimmy Cruz. “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. ² Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2

WIN Visitors and Friends Appreciation Night

Last Saturday, November 7 the follow-up ministry held its first ever WIN Friends Appreciation Night. The occasion gave everyone attending the opportunity to reconnect and simply fellowship with members and guests after visiting WIN Ontario  in the past  The event showcased WINO’s giftedness as the members and workers became the cooks, waiters and organizers of the “formal” dinner event. Everyone was amazed at the level of preparation and the spirit of service as the main hall was transformed into an elegant dining restaurant. More importantly everyone got a sense of what WINO is about — it’s not just going to church, it’s about being a family.

Hallelujah Night

Last October 31, the children’s ministry sponsored  our annual Hallelujah Night with the “green theme”. Children should wear something eco-friendly. The activity provided a wholesome alternative to Halloween. Our young people also got in on the action as well.

LifeGroups Multiply by Division

We are happy to announce that we are starting two new groups as we begin the new curriculum entitled REGROUP. The purpose of the small group is to grow in such a way that eventually it will have to divide to accommodate new members and continue to be effective as an intimate yet dynamic group.  That’s exactly what happened with two of our LifeGroups. The Markham/Scarborough cell group will now go their separate ways to make room for new members. Markham will be led by Bro Juancho Aristorenas and Scarborough will  be led by Bro Ronnie. In the same way, Toronto Central will now be divided into Toronto Downtown to be coordinated by Bro Randy Pena and Toronto Midtown to be coordinated by Bro Tom Tamayo.

Youth Week on October 18

October 18 is Youth Week  at WIN Ontario. Our Young People will be leading our congregations in worship and the study of the Word.

Joint Thanksgiving Service

Join us on October 11, Sunday, at 10am as we focus on thanking the Lord for all the  blessings that He has showered us with. Pot bless lunch will follow. Please coordinate with sis Liberty for food assignments. There will be no worship service in the Peel Congregation on this date.
